Tea tree oil is becoming more and more popular.
It is known for its cleansing properties and for the content of anti-microbial components. It all began in 1923, when an Australian chemist, Arthur Penfold, discovered that tea tree oil antiseptic activity was 12 times stronger than that of carbolic acid or phenol.
A study at Prince Alfred Hospital in Australia revealed the ability of tea tree oil to treat acne without causing side effects. When combined with other ingredients, it creates a very powerful blend that works for a while.
